Quick Start

User interface

Master Realishot's interface zones: Left Sidebar (9 resource libraries), Top Bar (project settings/rendering), Right Panel (structure tree/properties), Canvas (3D manipulation), and Control Bar (view navigation). This guide details model importing, resource utilization, scene rendering, and camera operations for efficient 3D design workflows.

Interface Navigation

This is an introduction to Realishot's user interface. It will guide you through understanding and familiarizing yourself with the tool's interface and its purposes.

Realishot's UI interface can be divided into the following areas: Left Sidebar (Resource Libraries), Top Bar, Right Panel (Properties Panel), Canvas, Bottom Bar (Control Bar).


Import Model

Click the "Add" icon in the upper-left corner to upload custom models to Realishot. For supported model formats, see Model Import - Supported Formats.

Resource Libraries

The Left Sidebar contains Realishot's various resource libraries, including Templates, Mockups, Components, Materials, Finishes, Colors, Scenes, Elements, and Lights. Realishot provides abundant design resources for viewing and application. To use a resource, click or drag it onto the canvas to apply it to your scene.

Left Sidebar: Model import and resource library entry buttons

  • Template Library : Complete scenes with models, materials, and lighting.
  • Mockup Library : Complete product models with material and finish configurations.
  • Component Library : Assembly parts (e.g., bottle caps, pumps, bodies).
  • Material Library : Base materials for manufacturing.
  • Finishes Library : Surface treatments for materials.
  • Color Library : Color swatches and palettes.
  • Scene Library : Backgrounds and 3D environments.
  • Element Library : Decorative models for scene enhancement.
  • Light Templates : HDR environments, directional lights, point lights, area lights, spotlights, studio lights.

Realishot offers all these design resources in a plug-and-play Public Library. Designers can also upload custom resources to their Team Library – see relevant sections in Resource Center.


Top Bar

The Top Bar contains core functionalities. Left section: Realishot/project settings and save status. Center: selection modes, coordinate toggles, camera tools. Right: rendering and publishing tools.

Project Settings

  • Rename project
  • Return to workspace
  • Settings: Toggle auto-save, grids, camera flip limits
  • Shortcuts: View keyboard shortcuts
  • Help: Access documentation or contact support

Save Status

Selection Mode Toggle

Top Bar Center (L-R): Selection mode, coordinate mode, add camera

Multiple selection modes for efficient component selection:

  • Select
  • Box Select
  • Lasso Select
  • Brush Select
  • Select All
  • Invert Selection
  • Selection Priority
    • Prioritize Models
    • Prioritize Groups

Coordinate Mode Toggle

  • World Coordinates: Axes align with global X/Y/Z
  • Local Coordinates: Axes follow object transformations

Add Camera

Adds a camera at the current view angle. For camera parameters, see Camera.

Ray Tracing Preview Toggle

Top Bar Right (L-R): Ray tracing toggle, gallery, publish, render buttons

Switches canvas from raster to ray-traced rendering. Details in Ray-Traced Rendering.

Opens rendered image gallery.

Publish & Share

Manages shareable links and print-ready outputs.

Render

Renders current view with ray tracing. Dropdown: ray tracing settings. See Ray-Traced Rendering.


Right Panel

Structure Tree

View all scene elements. Select elements to modify properties.

  • Search: Find elements by name
  • Filter: Show specific object types
  • Environment: Adjust lighting, ground, background, post-processing
  • Project Elements: Models, groups, cameras, lights, hotspots. Hover for quick controls:
    • Eye: Show/hide object
    • Lock: Prevent accidental selection/modification
    • Enter Camera: Switch to camera view (camera objects only)
  • Post-Processing: Enable/disable effects and adjust parameters (see Post-Processing chapter).

Properties Panel

Displays parameters for selected objects (environment, materials, lights, cameras, etc.):

  • Environmen
  • Materials
  • Lights
  • Camera
  • Floating UI
  • Hotspots

Canvas

All objects are displayed here. Select, move, rotate, or scale objects. See Object Manipulation.


Bottom Bar

Bottom Bar (L-R): Focus, undo, redo, zoom in, zoom out

View and operation controls:

  • Focus: Centers view on selected object (rotates around object). Focus on empty area centers all objects. Shortcut: F
  • Undo: Reverts last action
  • Redo: Restores undone action
  • Zoom In: Increases camera FOV
  • Zoom Out: Decreases camera FOV
